Meet Emily

Hello! I’m a Charlottesville, Virginia newborn photographer, and I specialize in capturing all things baby, family, and maternity. I’m also a wife, mom of five, Christian, history lover, proud Anglophile, and (no surprise) total photography addict.

My journey into photography began when my husband gifted me my first Canon camera one Christmas. I started photographing my children, driven by a deep love for them and a desire to preserve the fleeting beauty of childhood. Like many families, we already had framed portraits from newborn and family photography sessions—but I quickly realized how meaningful it was to create these memories myself.

In fact, one of my favorite canvases—featuring three of our daughters—replaced a Van Gogh print in our home. Because to us, those photographs aren't just art—they’re family, memory, and love captured forever.

Did you know that studies show family portraits displayed in the home can boost a child’s self-esteem? They visually remind our children that they are loved, valued, and belong. That belief is at the heart of my work as a Charlottesville family photographer.
