I actually really love working...

...with older newborns. Yes, yes, I will tell you that it is ideal to book your session before your little one arrives so that we can get you in the studio in the first three weeks of your baby's life to maximize the chances of getting those sleepy shots. But as I've written in a previous post, there is really no bad time to get pictures of your sweet baby. I'm not daunted by older newborns...in fact I love getting bright-eyed awake shots. Plus, we often can get some cozy, wrapped, sleepy baby shots as well.

This was exactly how little Mr. R's session went. He was a doll baby (can I say that about a little boy?!). He came in with his pretty mama, and we got mommy and me pictures, some sleepy wrapped shots, and then little R. showed us his bright, beautiful, blue eyes in some adorable headshots, which are some of my favorites from the session. I know his mama will cherish these precious moments for years to come. Welcome to the world, little R.!
